Believing in ourselves and believing our wildest ideas can be a reality is one of our biggest sources of life.
Without this kind of hope we can easily lose who we are.
Virgil represented that kind of hope.
He existed with his own voice and gave life to his ideas by believing he had something important to say. Believing voices like his and people from his community mattered.
By existing in this way, he broke down walls and made way for people from Black and Brown communities to believe they could too.
In a world that works so hard to silence Black and Brown voices and creativity - Virgil’s legacy will be a revolution of hope.
Hope that every single one of our wildest ideas can come true.
That we can be ourselves and shift the world.
