Nobody's Smiling Mask

With all the shit happening in the world: people of color being killed, manifestos being written about our demise, children being locked in cages, life taking its toll on us, and the current state of political affairs in our city we continue to smile through the bullshit knowing we are not entirely okay. The upside down face represents that melancholy we face as people who are at war with ourselves. That war in trying to find a balance between dealing with the shit that's happening, trying to have an impact, and trying to be happy. 

We show up and show we are happy, but deep down nobody’s really smiling. 

We have to find our reasons to really smile
